Take a look at the films and series below:

A Suitable Boy- Mira Nair's adaptation of Vikram Seth's A Suitable Boy made the most of Namit's craft as an actor, singer and music composer. In the BBC series, Namit is seen essaying the role of Haresh Khanna, a footwear entrepreneur, who hopes to marry Lata, one of the lead characters of the series. Set in a post-independence, post-partition India, A Suitable Boy follows the story of four families over a period of 18 months and centres on Mrs. Rupa Mehra's efforts to arrange the marriage of her younger daughter, Lata, to a "suitable boy". Namit prepped for the series by learning shoe-making from a local cobbler in Mumbai. His hard work paid off as his performance stood out and strengthened his position in the OTT space.

Mafia- An edge-of-the-seat thriller, Mafia came to be one of the most popular shows to have streamed during the lockdown in 202. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, the series is about six college buddies who reunite for a bachelorette party that turns into a game of whodunnit as their past lives return to haunt them. In this series, Namit is seen in the role of an unassuming cop with a dark side. Das is seen as Nitin Kumar from Bihar, who enters the police force to fight against the injustice meted out to his community. The actor was appreciated for his layered performance in the series.

Aarya- Aarya is a digital crime drama series co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi based on the Dutch drama series Penoza by Pieter Bart Korthuis. This is the series that won Namit massive appreciation from critics and viewers alike. The versatile actor was seen in the role of 'Jawahar' a total badass, who is the antithesis of the lead character Aarya, essayed by Sushmita Sen. This series continues to be one of the most-watched series of the year and Namit's act in it stood out; it won him accolades and fortified his position in the digital scene.

Pataakha- Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Pataakha tells the story of two sisters who share a difficult relationship with each other. Based on Charan Singh Pathik's short story titled Do Behnein, the Bhardwaj directorial captures Badki (Radhika Madan) and Chhutki (Sanya Malhotra) who quarrel about everything. In the film, Namit plays the role of Madan's reel husband Jagan, who’s simple and sweet. With this role, Das brought the quaint small-town sensibility to the big screen.

Sui Dhaga- Produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma and directed by Sharat Katariya, Sui Dhaaga chronicles the tale of Mauji and his wife, Mamta, who kick off their own garment business. In the inspirational drama, Namit plays the role of Guddu, who coaxes Mauji and Mamta to manufacture hospital gowns under the label of the clothing company he works at. The actor lent authenticity to the role and showed that he can ace the portrayal of a small-town man just as easily as he can pull off roles of people from the urban strata.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani- No matter the length of the role, Namit has invariably made it a point to get his presence and craft registered. Much of the same happened in Hamari Adhuri Kahani. He essayed the role of Saanjh Prasad in the Mohit Suri directorial, the story of which is about a single mother falling in love with a hotel baron.

Ghanchakkar- Ghanchakkar was the first film that had Namit essaying a meaty role and his calibre as an actor was noted by celebrated filmmakers.  He was seen portraying the character of a thief, who carries out a heist with his accomplices in the super entertaining black comedy. Despite being in a movie that had senior actors, Das held his own and on the meaty role front in movies, there was no looking back for him since.

Sumit Sambhal Lega- Sumit Sambhal Lega is a sitcom that has Namit essaying the title role. The show won acclaim for its freshness, funny dialogues and banter between characters. The TV series is about Sumit (played Namit), a reckless man, who is responsibility-phobic. Namit brought to the television the portrayal of a flippant young man, who has a joke for every situation. The TV show is a desi version of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond'. Das showcased his versatility and comic timing in this sitcom and became a popular household name.

Wake Up Sid- It has been 11 years since Wake Up Sid was released and Namit is still remembered as Rishi, the character he essayed in it. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film revolves around Siddharth Mehra, a spoilt son and a disinterested college student, who learns responsibility the hard way from Aisha, an aspiring writer from Kolkata. Das played the role of Rishi, Sid's college friend. Such was the impact of his performance that the Mukerji directorial marked a turning point in his acting career.

Pancham- Pancham, an Indian television serial marked Namit's debut on the small screen and gave him the taste of acting for TV viewers. The actor was a college boy then and yet his acting prowess was unmistakable. The actor owes his foundational knowledge of acting before the camera to the serial.
